An Untroubled Spirit
The first rule is to keep an untroubled spirit. The second is to look things in the face and know them for what they are. ~Marcus Aurelius~
We are often presented with various challenges in our daily lives. The only way to properly discern what course of action to take regarding them, is through maintaining an untroubled spirit. From that vantage point, you WILL recognize things for what they truly are. Always strive to make decisions from that place. And when you find yourself unable, take time to do whatever is necessary to return to it before proceeding. It will pay enormous dividends regarding the final outcome!
It is the Lord Who goes before you; He will [march] with you; He will not fail you or let you go or forsake you; [let there be no cowardice or flinching, but] fear not, neither become broken [in spirit--depressed, dismayed, and unnerved with alarm]. ~Deuteronomy 31:8 (AMPC)~ Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go. ~Joshua 1:9 (NIV)~ For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline. ~2 Timothy 1:7 (NLT)~
