Amazing Grace

Life is no straight and easy corridor along which we travel free and unhampered, but a maze of passages, through which we must seek our way, lost and confused, now and again checked in a blind alley. But always, if we have faith, a door will open for us, not perhaps one that we ourselves would have thought of, but one that will ultimately prove good for us.

~A. J. Cronin~

When you embark upon the journey of spiritual awakening, if you think that everything will all begin to come up roses...think again! Circumstances may still run contrary to your hopes and expectations, long time relations may not appreciate your new found understandings and beliefs, and as you become more aware of the hidden things in your own heart that must be dealt with, it can be quite unsettling. But continue on, with faith and perseverance, and you WILL begin to see the light that shines upon all who earnestly seek it, and you will ultimately find that place of peace and joy, that cannot be shaken by any circumstance that arises...knowing, that everything will work together for your certain good.

Do not, therefore, fling away your [fearless] confidence, for it has a glorious and great reward. For you have need of patient endurance [to bear up under difficult circumstances without compromising], so that when you have carried out the will of God, you may receive and enjoy to the full what is promised.

~Hebrews 10:35-36 (Amp)~

Consider it nothing but joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you fall into various trials. Be assured that the testing of your faith [through experience] produces endurance [leading to spiritual maturity, and inner peace]. And let endurance have its perfect result and do a thorough work, so that you may be perfect and completely developed [in your faith], lacking in nothing. If any of you lacks wisdom [to guide him through a decision or circumstance], he is to ask of [our benevolent] God, who gives to everyone generously and without rebuke or blame, and it will be given to him.

~James 1:2-5 (Amp)~
